Ability Lifts Ltd were approached towards the end of November 2016 by a key member of the Building Services Team at Telford and Wrekin Council with a view to replacing the existing two Inclined Wheelchair Platform Lifts at the Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre.
At the Snowboard and Ski Centre, the 85 metre slope (and nursery slope facility) provides skiing and snowboarding activities for adults and juniors of all ages and abilities throughout the year together with other activities for the adrenaline seekers.
A full site survey was undertaken to record and duplicate all measurements for the new lifts to replace the existing lifts which as a result of their age and lack of reliability would be replaced with two new lifts from the exclusive Optimum 200 range incorporating safety features requested by the client and others as a result of observations by the sales consultant whilst on site such as backing panels to ensure complete safety whilst equipment was in operation.
The two new Optimum 200 Lifts would continue to provide access to all areas for the less abled and future proof it to ensure that no person would be excluded when either participating or viewing as a spectator at the Centre.
