FlipOut trampoline park in Glasgow is a play environment for all ages with a variety of activities from dodgeball, basketball lanes, football and soft play areas. The 2 floor facility totalling 63,000sq feet is not only unique in the type of equipment it offers, but is also one of the first in UK to provide a ‘ninja warrior’ course and an adult parkour area together with a cafe and sports bar with 5 large screens and VIP area located on the first floor.
Working with architects, Croft Architecture, the task was to provide a platform lift from ground to the upper level so that anyone could access all the facilities on offer.
Sheffield based Ability Lifts, provided their flagship product, the Optimum 100 vertical platform lift, which was perfectly suited to the location within the building due to the free standing design of the lift (with loads being transferred through the floor base). It’s compact design allowed it to be located within the stairwell ensuring all visitors could enjoy the facilities and take part in the fun.
With a small footprint of just 1560mm x 1250mm, whilst still providing a Part M compliant platform size of 1480mm x 1120mm, coupled with the low maintenance, smooth chain drive system, the lift was a great choice for FlipOut.
