Platform Lift for Lincoln Cathedral Centre
The Lincoln Cathedral Centre stands in the shadow of Lincoln Cathedral’s magnificent West Front, the centre boasts a grand reception hall and several other rooms.
As the centre specialises in hosting events, ranging from conferences and meetings to birthday parties, access for the less able was a necessity. However, due to the continued failure of a previously installed platform lift, the committee were looking for a reliable platform lift solution. Abilitylifts came highly recommended by Ruddocks of Lincoln, and after the initial consultation, the Optimum 100 Platform Lift was chosen as the perfect choice to provide the maximum platform size possible in the available space.
Ability Lifts were able to construct a bespoke size platform lift specifically for the Centre. Within a shaft size of only 1280mm wide x 1360mm front to back, an Optimum 100 Platform Lift was installed. This provided a very useful working platform area of 1120mm wide x 1280mm deep.
Requiring only a 10amp power supply to the top floor the installation was completed within two days and fitted easily into the area previously used to house the unreliable lift.
The fast, trouble-free installation of the Optimum 100 Platform lift kept any disruption to the running of the centre to a minimum, allowing them to continue with their previous commitments.
