When Manor Motorsport (called Virgin Racing in Formula One) moved to new premises in South Yorkshire it was a Sheffield based lift company Ability Lifts that was called in to assist.
The Optimum 100 was installed in the corner of the reception area, finished in white, the platform lift looked smart and blended well with its surroundings (including the mock up Formula One vehicle). As the lift didn’t require a pit or any structural supports the impact of the installation on the new building was small and disruption was kept to a minimum.
The platform lift covers 2 floors creating DDA compliant access as and when required.
The Optimum 100 is an ideal solution for the site, the high build quality, flexible and dependable guided chain drive system is ideally suited to the building, as is the complete structure. The Optimum 100 was supplied as a complete structure including the ceiling and did not require load bearing walls, scaffolding or lifting beams for installation, the drive motor of only .55kw is up to 75% more energy efficient than other systems.
