When the Ben Sherman store opened recently in Camden Walk, Islington, access to the shop floor could have been an issue for anyone with impaired mobility, with space at a premium and four steps to climb a mobile solution that could easily be accessed and stored was a requirement.
The Optimum 1000 is a high quality and reliable mobile platform lift designed to work internally or externally. At only 53kg it can easily be moved into position to offer the perfect solution to awkward access situations, the safety access ramp fitted to the leading edge raises by 100mm when the lift is in use to restrain wheelchairs and a handset on a spiral cable is provided for ease of use, the unit is finished in Grey RAL 7035 as standard but is also available in a wide range of colours to suit the surrounding area (Optional extra).
To make as little impact as possible on the limited space and traditional but modern lines of the store part of the steps were made to be removable, the Optimum 1000 was the perfect fit in the space created and folds away neatly into the area under the steps when not in use.
